In
my last Post, I wrote about how your “Daily Actions” determine your “Current
Reality” and what you can do to change that on a practical level on a daily
basis.
In
this post I want to continue down that road and look at how we can gradually
evolve our “Daily Actions” to ensure that we are always stretching ourselves to
achieve more than what we’ve done in the past.
You
can’t go from small to BIG instantly.
You have to start small and gradually get BIGGER! You can’t go from average to great
instantly. You have to start average and
gradually get BETTER! It doesn’t take a
lot to put you above the pack, but it does take SOMETHING!
The
way to get there is by creating what I like to call an ACTION SANDWICH. Now one thing that I’m always stressing to
people is that one of the most essential things to bring about change is a
feeling of Gratitude. What you are
grateful for you will attract more of.
We live in a FEELING Universe.
Whatever we FEEL is what we are going to attract into our lives whether
it’s something that we want or not.
So
the “Bread” in this sandwich is going to be Gratitude. We start on the bottom with a FEELING OF
GRATITUDE for what we already have in our lives RIGHT NOW. At first glance we may not think we have
that much to be grateful for but if we start to really focus in on all the
things that we do have to be grateful for, then we start to realise that in
fact there is always SO MUCH for us to be grateful for. This is important because we can’t really
attract anything else into our lives until we begin to feel grateful for what
we already have.
Next
is our Top piece of “Bread”. In this
case that is going to be a FEELING OF GRATITUDE for what we are going to
‘Become’ when we reach our Goal. Remember,
we live in a FEELING Universe so to attract the Goal that we seek, we need to
first be grateful for what we have. But
then we need to put ourselves into the FEELING of already having acquired what
we want. What do you want? How is it going to FEEL when you achieve
that? Stop right now and write down just
a paragraph about how you will FEEL when you have achieved your Goal. Now just close your eyes and step into that FEELING. Visualise yourself as already having that at
part of your reality. Now that you have
that vision in your mind, now that you have the FEELING of what it’s like to
achieve it, now allow yourself to be GRATEFUL for it. Express Gratitude to The Universe / God /
Your Higher Self, whatever you believe in, and most importantly express
Gratitude to YOURSELF that you have achieved this goal!
Now
it’s time for the Filling! The Filling
in this sandwich is going to be ACTION!
What
Action are you going to take to ensure success?
Remember the way to get BIG is to constantly get BIGGER, the way to get
Great is to constantly get BETTER! Don’t
blow yourself out of the water by setting a BIG Goal and then become
disillusioned by the fact it seems too hard to achieve. Set the BIG Goal and then break it down into
smaller chunks. What can you do TODAY
which is just a little bit Bigger than what you did yesterday? How can you always do just that little bit
more than you did the day before which is going to stretch you?

Robbins has this great analogy where he says if you want to do 10 sit ups,
which one is going to be the easiest?
Answer: number 1 right! But which
one is going to get you the most results?
Answer: number 10 right! Well
actually NO. Tony Robbins says if you
set out to do 10 sit ups, the one which is going to get you the most results is
number 11 !
It’s
what you do EXTRA that counts. What can
you do TODAY which is just a little bit BIGGER than what you’ve done before
which is going to stretch you and move you forward?
